Rescufy wins $15,000 seed funding with Kanda Software

Rescufy, a mobile health application, sought to address a critical need for individuals experiencing anaphylactic shock who may lose consciousness before help arrives. Their challenge was to create a proof of concept for an app that could quickly text and call 911 with vital patient information. They engaged Kanda Software to develop this innovative eHealth solution.

Kanda Software developed an iOS mobile application with a custom UX/UI design, implementing one-touch buttons to text and call 911, geo-location services, and a lock screen emergency feature. The solution provided first responders with essential data instantly. As a result of this work, Rescufy won UPENN’s AppitUP 2014 Challenge and secured $15,000 in seed funding, with the customer praising Kanda for giving them "wings" and hoping to continue the relationship.
