MediaPedia, a project aiming to catalog and rate the political bias of media entities, partnered with Kanda Software to build a scalable AI news bias platform. Their challenge was to develop a minimum viable product under an extremely tight deadline that could automate the ingestion and analysis of diverse news content while operating with a high degree of accuracy and transparency to meet public expectations.

Kanda Software delivered a cloud-native solution on Microsoft Azure, utilizing .NET, Next.js, and OpenAI GPT models to create an AI-driven pipeline for classifying article bias. The resulting MVP launched on schedule, successfully processing thousands of articles with a scalable infrastructure. Kanda Software's work allowed MediaPedia's admin users to spend less time on routine labeling and more on complex cases, accelerating the growth of their dataset and establishing a foundation for future expansion into additional media formats.
