Orotig, a world leader in LASER technology, faced challenges with inflexible production planning and inventory management due to a 300% increase in market demand. To become more responsive and reduce stockouts, they turned to their vendor, KanbanBOX, to expand their use of its electronic kanban platform beyond simple parts replenishment.

KanbanBOX implemented its e-kanban system for purchasing and its Multiprocess and Sequencer features for production. This solution synchronized materials and production stages, automating and sequencing workflows. The results included an 88% reduction in material stockouts, a 7.5% reduction in raw material inventory value, a 48% decrease in WIP, and a savings of two full-time employees. Orotig now uses KanbanBOX to manage over 800 purchase kanban loops and 2,000 total kanbans across two plants.
