Scentsy, an international fragrance company that grew rapidly from a family business into a global direct-seller, was straining its IT infrastructure: nearly a petabyte of storage built up over 12 years, cramped data centers, rising energy and maintenance costs, complex operations, and slow replication for large multi-terabyte SQL environments that threatened performance and scalability.
