Innovation in Employee Engagement with MetLife

MetLife EMEA, part of one of the world’s largest life insurers with 5,000 employees across 26 countries, needed a way to build understanding and support for its corporate strategy across many languages and cultures. At a 2014 Innovation Summit, employees proposed using social video to solve the communications challenge.

They launched OneVoice on Kaltura MediaSpace, an internal YouTube-style portal where staff upload short videos tagged to strategic "Strategy Corners" and colleagues can like, share and comment. The platform captured authentic employee voices, surfaced best practices, boosted engagement with strategic priorities, and won the 2015 Peer Award for Innovation in Employee Engagement.
