Harnessing Employee Ingenuity with Video at SAP

SAP, a global leader in enterprise application software, needed a better way to connect its dispersed workforce and surface employee knowledge and creativity. Previously reliant on professionally produced videos, the company wanted an employee-empowered solution that offered extremely easy publishing, an intuitive, familiar interface, and powerful search to make content discoverable across the organization.

SAP implemented Kaltura’s Media Share, a YouTube-like internal platform that lets employees upload contests, vlogs, tutorials and knowledge-sharing clips. The program quickly gained traction—now hosting about 7,500 videos and over 700,000 views—bringing a human element to SAP communications and tapping the ingenuity and passion of its people.
