Provident’s field workers achieve 98% completion rates with the help of mobile-optimised Kallidus Learn

Provident Financial Group, a UK non‑standard lender with 4,940 employees serving 2.5 million customers, needed to modernise its learning platform to better support a largely mobile field workforce. Their existing Kallidus Classic LMS was increasingly outdated and not mobile‑friendly, so the Learning & Development team — led by Matthew Swain — opted to migrate to Kallidus Learn, managing the project internally with minimal IT involvement.

Working closely with Kallidus, Provident used multiple sandboxes and extensive testing (~150 tests) and a supported data migration to go live in June 2018 with 10 initial modules and ~5,000 users. The new, mobile‑optimised platform delivered strong results: 28‑day completion rates rose from 86% to 96% for Head Office, current Field completion rates are 96% (UK) and 98% (ROI), dropout is just 3%, and about 4,000 of nearly 5,000 employees now use mobile devices — with consistently positive learner feedback.
