PCgo, a Danish company specializing in data capture systems for handheld terminals and smartphones, was contacted by Dansk Værktøjs Agentur, an import and export company, to help solve a warehouse picking challenge. The customer wanted a voice-enabled way to pick lines in the warehouse without relying on expensive barcode reader terminals, and PCgo used Kalipso Studio Voice Edition with Google voice recognition to build the solution.

Using Kalipso Studio, PCgo quickly created a demo connected to an SQL server and then delivered a full voice-controlled warehouse app that runs on standard Android smartphones. The system lets workers and the app communicate by voice, supports item lookup, and integrates with the ERP in real time, improving stock picking and reducing errors. Dansk Værktøjs Agentur reported 15% higher efficiency in picking and packing after six months, equivalent to saving more than two workers, and PCgo highlighted Kalipso Studio’s speed and flexibility as key advantages.
