Practo, a SaaS-based healthcare platform connecting patients with doctors and healthcare providers, needed a reliable way to manage rapidly growing appointment volumes, patient records, reminders, and doctor-patient communication at scale. As its user base expanded across India and into more than 15 countries, Practo faced the challenge of sending the right information to the right people quickly and securely.
Kaleyra provided Practo with a cloud-based messaging platform to automate and scale SMS communication, including booking confirmations, OTPs, transactional alerts, reminders, rescheduling and cancellation notices, follow-up prompts, feedback requests, and promotional messages. The solution enabled real-time communication for patients and doctors, with Kaleyra supporting delivery of more than 2.5 billion text messages per month and over 5,000 messages per second; Practo now sends approximately 15 lakh messages per day.
