Venture Global Solutions, a 3PL operating a large fleet (1,000 tractors, 3,000 trailers and 2,500 partner carriers), faced a major yard-management challenge when its largest customer, Subaru, expanded from 100 to 1,000 trailers—overwhelming its largely manual processes. To modernize operations it selected Kaleris and deployed a yard management system (PINC YMS) along with PINC Air autonomous drones to improve visibility and tracking.

Kaleris’ solution automated trailer inventory checks, gave real-time yard visibility and KPI tracking for drivers, tractors and equipment, and enabled accurate, timely trailer location updates. As a result Venture Global reduced the size of its in-yard trailer fleet, gained better “visuals” over vehicle locations, and began measuring moves-per-hour and other KPIs to drive efficiency—benefits Kaleris continues to support as the 3PL plans further optimization.
