Supersedes Its Own Vessel Utilization Record For Third Consecutive Time Following N4 Launch

Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), one of the world’s largest container terminals, was facing rising processing demands and the limitations of its aging Navis SPARCS and Express software, which had reached end of life. As cargo volumes and vessel sizes continued to grow, the port needed a more modern system to support ongoing operational performance and future scalability.

Kaleris helped PTP upgrade to Navis N4, replacing the legacy platform with a more capable terminal operating system. The transition was completed successfully in 2019 with no unplanned impact to landside or waterside customers, and PTP quickly set a new vessel utilization record of 19,574 TEU on the MSC Gulsun after earlier records of 19,038 TEU and 19,284 TEU. This made PTP one of the few ports worldwide able to handle mega-size vessels at such high utilization levels.
