Port of Tanjung Pelepas sets third straight vessel utilization record at 19,574 TEU with Kaleris

The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a major container terminal, faced a significant challenge as its legacy terminal operating system, Navis SPARCS and Express, had reached its end of life and could no longer support the port's rapidly growing processing needs and the increasing size of container vessels. To continue its growth and accommodate mega-vessels, PTP needed to upgrade its systems and partnered with Kaleris to implement the N4 terminal operating system.

Kaleris successfully implemented its N4 solution, enabling PTP to dramatically improve its operational capabilities. Following the launch, the port superseded its own vessel utilization record for a third consecutive time, most notably by loading 19,574 TEU onto the MSC Gulsun, the world's largest container ship at the time. This strategic investment with Kaleris ensured PTP could service the latest generation of vessels and solidified its status among a limited number of ports worldwide with the capacity for such mega-ships.
