Baas International Group, operator of Riyadh Dry Port in Saudi Arabia, needed a reliable, always-available terminal operating environment to support its growing import container volumes and protect operations from downtime. The port relied on Kaleris’s Navis N4 2.3 terminal operating system (TOS) to manage rail-based container operations and improve resilience, scalability, and integration with other systems like SAP.

Kaleris helped BIG migrate Navis N4 from physical servers to a virtual VMware environment with a secondary data center for high availability and data replication. The solution kept operations running during a major 7-hour power outage with no data loss, supported 24/7/365 uptime, and contributed to strong growth: import volumes rose from 270,000 TEU in 2013 to 350,000 TEU in 2015, while gate and yard operations improved by more than 75%.
