Sibos, the global financial messaging cooperative, undertook one of the industry's largest initiatives to address the future of cross-border payments using digital currencies. Their challenge was to demonstrate that a single technology platform, provided by Kaleido, could enable secure, atomic settlement across fundamentally different blockchain networks while onboarding 38 global participants at a massive scale.

Kaleido implemented its full platform stack, including Chain Infrastructure, Hyperledger FireFly web3 middleware, and Digital Assets, to power the SWIFT CBDC connector. This solution interconnected Hyperledger Besu, Hyperledger Fabric, and Corda networks, enabling secure cross-border settlement. The results were significant, with Kaleido successfully hosting and operating over 600 runtimes for 38 central and commercial banks, accelerating interoperability testing at an unprecedented scale.
