SONAR, an emergency management and blockchain solutions company, needed a reliable way to verify identities and connect medical information during disaster response in high-risk Caribbean regions. To address this challenge, SONAR turned to Kairos and its biometric identity verification technology for the SONAR ID dApp.

Kairos implemented the Kairos Protocol™ to support selfie-based enrollment and face scanning in emergency situations, allowing responders to quickly link individuals to their stored PII and medical data. The solution was designed to speed communications between people in danger and national disaster management agencies, helping improve coordination and response during hurricanes and other emergencies.
