Ministry of Justice - Customer Case Study

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) faced a complex, time-sensitive challenge to create a common platform integrating business and technology systems across the department and partner organisations. Its legacy infrastructure was struggling to cope with large workloads — including 800,000 Crown Prosecution Service cases and two million HM Courts & Tribunals Service proceedings — and the PMO needed practical plans, agile development cycles and rapid stakeholder engagement to rationalise systems and meet Digital by Default requirements. To support this work the MoJ procured Kahootz cloud collaboration software via the UK G-Cloud.

Kahootz delivered secure, flexible online workspaces, bringing 250 PMO team members and partner IT specialists together in under two weeks and providing dedicated spaces for procurement, programme controls, stakeholder engagement, architecture and individual project streams. Kahootz enabled better knowledge sharing, transparent collaboration costs, flexible resource management and the ability to scale user licensing up or down, helping the MoJ achieve efficiencies and major savings and aggregate project information to inform procurement and next-stage development.
