The Ministry of Defence needed a secure way to share information up to OFFICIAL‑SENSITIVE with the defence industry, other government departments and allied nations across both private networks and the public internet. In 2015 ISS introduced Defence Share powered by Kahootz, selecting the Enterprise version of the Kahootz cloud collaboration service to meet its Cloud First policy and strict security and access requirements.
Kahootz delivered an accredited, resilient collaboration platform that was added to the ISS service catalogue, so MOD teams can quickly request, deploy and pay for secure workspaces. As a result Kahootz now enables secure sharing up to OFFICIAL‑SENSITIVE, was initially adopted by Defence Equipment and Support and has been rolled out MOD‑wide, providing formal accreditation, wider availability and improved secure collaboration with external partners.
