Case Study: Ministry of Defence achieves accredited OFFICIAL SENSITIVE cloud collaboration and streamlined SME engagement with Kahootz (Defence Share)

A Kahootz Case Study

Preview of the Ministry of Defence Case Study

How secure cloud collaboration has revolutionised the Defence industry

The Ministry of Defence was struggling to keep pace with rapid technological change, tighter budgets and a shift to more temporary staff, which risked knowledge loss and slowed access to SME innovation. To rebalance its relationship with industry and streamline acquisition, Joint Force Command’s Information Systems and Services selected Kahootz and its secure collaboration platform, Defence Share, as the solution.

Kahootz deployed Defence Share and achieved accreditation for use up to OFFICIAL SENSITIVE (OS), removing the need for encrypted disks and couriers and enabling thousands of users across DE&S, ISS, DIO and Front Line Commands to collaborate securely. The platform gave SMEs direct access to delivery teams (e.g. via the SKYNET 6 environment), reduced cost escalation and delays, preserved corporate knowledge through full audit trails, and has been adopted more widely by primes and partners—earning Kahootz external recognition such as a GDS award.
