Havant Borough Council - Customer Case Study

Havant Borough Council, working with East Hampshire District Council, needed a secure, user-friendly online platform to support shared services and collaborative project work after a basic SharePoint setup and email-based collaboration caused access problems and version-control errors. After trialling G-Cloud options, they chose Kahootz as the replacement platform.

Kahootz delivered cloud workspaces with version control, document comments, workflows and simple external-user access, replacing email chains and the problematic SharePoint installation. The platform sped up decision-making, enabled field teams (including the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership that manages 162 km of coastline) to upload content from web-enabled devices, removed the need to grant network access to partners, and scaled from an initial 50 users to 480 while offering cost-effective licensing as usage grew.
