Department of Health and Social Care - Customer Case Study

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) renewed its relationship with Kahootz by re‑signing for a third G‑Cloud contract term to meet the need for secure, cloud‑based collaboration across DHSC and its arm’s‑length bodies (ALBs). After reviewing options on the UK Government’s Digital Marketplace, DHSC chose Kahootz’s cloud collaboration service and Enterprise user licences to provide shared terms and a single platform to improve team working, knowledge sharing and cross‑agency coordination.

Kahootz delivered collaboration sites and call‑off Enterprise licences via the G‑Cloud framework, underpinning the futureNHS platform and broad roll‑outs across NHS projects. The service already connects over 42,000 users in the UK health sector (a figure expected to double), and an independent audit of the platform reported a first‑year net operating benefit of £1.5m rising to £8.9m in Year 2, demonstrating measurable cost and productivity gains from Kahootz’s solution.
