Case Study: Queens' School achieves engaging, competitive classroom assessments with Kahoot!

A Kahoot! Case Study

Preview of the Queens’ School Case Study

Turning up the fun in Business classes with Kahoot!

Queens’ School faced the familiar challenge of keeping Business Studies assessment engaging for Year 10–13 students: frequent, paper-based tests were reliable but uninspiring. Teachers Lauren Pritchard and Nadia Akhtar turned to Kahoot! to rethink assessment and bring game-based interaction into their classes.

Kahoot! was used to run timed, competitive quizzes on Chromebooks, iPads and PCs, including cross-class competitions and Chromecast-enabled remote play, with plans to use features like Ghost mode for revision. The result was a noticeably “electric” classroom atmosphere, stronger student motivation and consolidation of learning—teachers report students asking to play after every topic and successful implementation across two Year 10 classes using the school’s ICT suite—demonstrating Kahoot!’s impact on engagement and formative assessment.
