Students, teachers and the Principal one team with Kahoot!

Lexington Middle School, led by new principal Sean Gaillard, faced the challenge of building rapport and a positive school culture with students and staff. To create an approachable entry point for relationship‑building and learning, Gaillard used Kahoot!'s Review Activity (Kahoot!) to join a 7th‑grade Social Studies class and participate alongside students during a Cold War review.

Kahoot! delivered a team‑based, music‑backed quiz experience that encouraged team names, collaboration and lively participation. The activity produced immediate increases in student engagement, visible enthusiasm and stronger principal–student rapport, and helped establish a more positive, collaborative classroom culture—demonstrating Kahoot!'s impact as a practical tool for boosting participation and community in the school.
