A Kahoot! Case Study
Mercury Insurance, a multiple-line insurance organization based in California, needed a better way to train new hires in its 6-week, instructor-led onboarding program covering more than 100 topics. The company wanted to move beyond lecture-based training and improve knowledge retention, engagement, and confidence for trainees from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Kahoot! was used as part of the training approach to make learning more interactive and learner-centric.
With Kahoot!, Mercury Insurance blended auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning to reinforce content, kick off topics, review material, and let trainees quiz one another. According to Mercury Insurance, Kahoot! helped increase participant engagement and make knowledge “stick” more effectively, while also saving trainers time to create activities. Post-training feedback was highly positive: trainees rated the experience 5/5 for being fun, said they learned a lot, would recommend it to others, and felt more confident and prepared for tests.
