RIU Hotels & Resorts, an international hospitality chain, faced the dual challenge of enhancing guest engagement during evening programming and scaling standardized employee training for its global workforce of over 24,000. To meet these needs, they turned to the vendor Kahoot! and implemented their Kahoot! 360 platform.

The solution from Kahoot! was a dual-purpose implementation. For guests, Kahoot! 360 was integrated into live evening shows and the RIU app to create interactive trivia challenges, turning passive viewers into active participants. For staff, the platform was expanded to train employees across various departments and to educate a global network of travel agency partners. The results were significant, with guests arriving earlier for shows and nearly 50,000 participating in app-based challenges. Internally, Kahoot! enabled RIU to scale synchronous and asynchronous training, ensuring uniform standards are maintained worldwide.
