Case Study: European Banking Federation engages 40,000 students in financial literacy with Kahoot!

A Kahoot! Case Study

Preview of the European Banking Federation Case Study

European-wide student competition in finance powered by Kahoot!

The European Banking Federation set out to boost financial literacy for 13–15 year-olds across Europe and turned to Kahoot! as the interactive platform to make learning fun and scalable. Faced with low confidence in everyday money decisions among youth, the EBF used Kahoot!’s quiz format to create a continent‑wide competition tied to European Money Week.

Kahoot! worked with the EBF to produce practice kahoots, run live‑streamed national finals from Kahoot! headquarters, and host a pan‑European final in Brussels. The campaign reached 40,000 students in 1,800 classrooms across 32 countries, logged 190,000 plays of the practice quiz, offered questions in 21 languages and produced 50 finalists — delivering measurable engagement and greater financial literacy across Europe.
