A Kahoot! Case Study
Whitcomb Elementary School faced low engagement and the challenge of improving student mastery of rigorous science standards. To tackle this, the school adopted Kahoot!’s game-based learning quizzes to make review sessions interactive, encourage evidence-based discussion, and motivate previously disengaged students.
By using Kahoot! in regular whole-class and team-mode activities (including open-note reviews and leader-led group answers), the teacher saw average first cumulative exam scores rise from 69% to 78.72%—an 11.4% improvement—and projected student growth of 1.75 times the district norm (about 75% above the district average). Kahoot! also boosted engagement outside class, with students requesting links to practice at home.
