A Kaazing Case Study
Unibet, one of Europe’s largest online gambling operators, needed a solution to reduce latency and improve scalability for live sports betting. Its existing web and application server architecture relied on polling, creating delays that could prevent bettors from placing wagers in time and limiting the types of bets Unibet could offer. Unibet evaluated several options and chose Kaazing WebSocket Gateway to support its growing customer base and distributed infrastructure.
Kaazing implemented Kaazing WebSocket Gateway in Unibet’s data centers in Malta and London, with support for AMQP and open standards to avoid vendor lock-in. The result was significantly lower latency, allowing more customers to place more bets faster, improving user experience and revenue while reducing backend infrastructure costs across hardware, software, bandwidth, and data center resources.
