Trackmatic, a South African fleet management provider and new entrant in vehicle monitoring, needed a way to help customers monitor, manage, and control fleets in real time over the web. To do this without legacy constraints, it evaluated modern web technologies and chose Kaazing’s WebSocket Gateway and related support to handle fast-moving data from more than 250 vehicles.

Kaazing implemented an HTML5 WebSocket-based solution that instantly pushed telemetry and route information to browsers and mobile devices, enabling real-time updates and exception tracking. The result was a highly responsive fleet management platform that set Trackmatic apart from competitors, with updates delivered in milliseconds instead of waiting up to 120 seconds and the ability for multiple operators to update and see the same ticket simultaneously.
