A K12 Insight Case Study
Saline Area Schools, a Michigan school district, struggled to win community support for a bond measure after two failed attempts and limited media reach, especially among residents without children in the schools. The district needed a better way to build trust, communicate its goals, and gather feedback before asking voters to approve infrastructure and classroom upgrades, so it turned to K12 Insight and its Engage and Let’s Talk! tools.
K12 Insight implemented a two-way community engagement approach using climate surveys and an always-on communication platform that routed questions and concerns to staff for quick responses. This helped Saline Area Schools listen to stakeholders, strengthen trust, and refine its bond messaging, ultimately leading to passage of a $67.5 million bond measure with 60 percent approval.
