Brighton Central School District - Customer Case Study

Brighton Central School District, a diverse New York district committed to kindness, respect, and inclusion, wanted clearer input from students, parents, staff, and the wider community to improve school climate and shape its strategic plan. To do that, the district partnered with K12 Insight and used the Engage survey platform to gather honest feedback on what was working and where more support was needed.

K12 Insight helped Brighton Central School District run school climate surveys in multiple formats and languages, followed by a focus group to turn the findings into the “Brighton Blueprint” strategic plan. The process identified priorities such as safety, security, wellness, rigorous coursework, and instructional technology, and gave the district stronger community buy-in; one measurable insight showed 74% of students were already taking at least one AP course, while also highlighting areas like cyberbullying and underrepresentation in advanced classes that needed attention.
