Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG expands green power with JUWI’s 19.9 MWp Lohnweiler solar park

Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG sought to expand its renewable energy portfolio with a large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic project. They partnered with the juwi Group, which was responsible for developing and building the solar park to meet this challenge.

The juwi Group developed and constructed the Lohnweiler solar park, navigating complex planning permissions and specific nature conservation requirements. The completed facility, with a capacity of 19.9 megawatts from 32,500 solar panels, now generates approximately 23.5 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually. This output is enough to power around 7,800 households, making a significant contribution to the regional energy transition.
