MVV boosts wind power output 2.5x with juwi Group

The customer, MVV, partnered with the vendor juwi Group on a repowering project to upgrade an aging wind farm in Minfeld, Germany. The challenge was to significantly increase the site's power output and contribution to the regional energy supply without requiring additional land.

The solution implemented by juwi was to replace four older turbines with two modern, more efficient six-megawatt turbines. This repowering project by juwi increased the site's annual electricity generation by a factor of 2.5, now producing 31 million kWh to supply climate-friendly power to over 30,000 households. The project successfully boosted output while demonstrating how to modernize existing sites with advanced technology.
