Deutsche Bahn secures 160 GWh of green electricity with juwi Group

Deutsche Bahn sought to advance its decarbonization goals by securing a long-term supply of certified green electricity at a predictable price. The juwi Group, through its developed solar parks, provided the source of renewable energy for this initiative, which was facilitated by a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) arranged with energy company MVV.

The solution implemented by the juwi Group involved supplying green electricity from three of its solar power plants in Germany with a combined capacity of 35.6 MW. Through a four-year PPA, juwi enabled the delivery of approximately 160 GWh of solar power to Deutsche Bahn, directly supporting the customer's move towards a sustainable energy supply and the broader energy transition.
