Ainsworth Pet Nutrition lands new mass merchandiser accounts

Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, America’s oldest privately owned pet food company, faced rapidly doubling market demand and needed an ERP to manage growth, traceability and warehouse complexity. In 2007 they selected Aptean Food & Beverage ERP JustFood Edition (JustFood) to provide food-industry-specific functionality, starting with 30 licensed users and expanding adoption across their operations.

Aptean Food & Beverage ERP JustFood Edition delivered modules including JF Floor mobile scanning, Advance Ship Notification (ASN) and EDI, warehouse management and MRP/MPS, improving inventory accuracy, visibility and production planning. As a result Ainsworth landed new mass merchandiser accounts, trained more than 100 employees on the system (adding 20+ licensed users), boosted case-picking capability (example: orders grew from 3–4 items to ~30 items), and earned an SQF Level II “Excellent” food-safety rating.
