GSMA launches interoperability test platform in under 2 months with JustCoded

The GSMA, which unites mobile operators and regulatory authorities, faced the challenge of creating the first joint end-to-end test environment for interoperable mobile money solutions. Their goal was to drive financial inclusion in emerging economies by allowing different mobile money providers to test how their systems connect. They partnered with the vendor JustCoded to develop this interoperability test platform.

JustCoded built a custom test platform that integrated the GSMA Mobile Money API with the open-source Mojaloop software. Their solution, developed by a team of DevOps, backend and frontend engineers, included simulators for mobile operators and allowed for the testing of various transaction scenarios. JustCoded delivered an MVP in under two months and had a full version 1.0 live after five months. The resulting platform allows industry players to test complex software implementations in a free, open-source environment, a crucial step for enabling wider mobile money interoperability.
