A Juro Case Study
Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading eCommerce retailer, needed a better way to manage rapidly growing contract volumes after expanding through acquisitions. The legal team lacked a standardized process and a central source of truth, relying instead on manual drafting, lengthy email negotiations, versioning issues, and scattered storage across inboxes and drives. Juro helped Takealot move away from this fragmented approach with a self-serve contract process and intelligent contract repository.
By implementing Juro, Takealot created a scalable, business-wide contract workflow with more than 80 standardized templates, around 240 active users, and approximately 10,000 documents generated in a year. Contracts that once took days were approved much faster, with sales contracts averaging about two hours to approve, and the legal team reported better collaboration, improved counterparty experience, and more efficient use of resources. Juro’s ease of use and support also contributed to Takealot Group’s legal team winning ALM / Law.com’s African Legal Tech Awards 2023 for Legal Department of the Year (large team).
