Web Hosting Provider Transforms Service Delivery with Automation

Hetzner South Africa, a web hosting provider serving more than 40,000 customers since 1999, needed to expand network capacity and build a new data center to meet surging demand while ensuring high availability, scalability, and faster service delivery. The company also sought to automate provisioning and simplify operations after reaching the limits of its legacy infrastructure.

Hetzner deployed Juniper MX80 edge routers and EX Series switches (EX4500, EX4200, EX2200) with Virtual Chassis and a single Junos OS to enable zero-touch provisioning and API-driven automation. The new network increased throughput by 600%, supports over 100 racks and nearly 4,000 servers, cut server provisioning from two days to 15 minutes, reduced operational costs and staffing needs, and delivered resilient, scalable service delivery.
