A Juniper Networks Case Study
Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the U.S. with more than 1,700 stores, was straining under a legacy network as it pursued rapid growth—opening roughly 100 stores a year and expanding e-commerce—while needing to support modern in‑store services, payment security, IoT devices and third‑party vendors.
By deploying Juniper MX routers, SRX gateways and QFX switches, Tractor Supply built a carrier‑class, segmented multiservice network and high‑performance data centers. The new infrastructure cut capital and support costs, enabled faster payment processing (in some cases 100x), reduced vendor onboarding from a month to an hour, piloted guest Wi‑Fi in 100 stores in under two weeks, and paved the way for multicloud and automated operations.
