TalkTalk Builds the U.K.’s Most Extensive Next-Generation Network with Juniper Networks

TalkTalk, one of the UK’s largest service providers with more than 4 million customers, faced intense competition in a market where performance, reliability, and low switching thresholds make customer experience critical. Rapid growth through acquisition and ambitious plans for new services meant its legacy network could not deliver the scalability, efficiency, or sustainability the business required.

TalkTalk deployed an end-to-end next‑generation network built on Juniper technology (including MX Series routers, EX Series switches, SRX gateways and WLA access points), covering some 91% of UK homes and operating across 2,500 exchanges. The platform enabled quick rollout of new services like TalkTalk TV (80,000 installs within months), ongoing expansion, energy savings through renewable power and reduced travel via conferencing, and positioned TalkTalk as an innovation leader in the marketplace.
