GVTC Communications Meets Customers’ Texas-Sized Expectations for Efficient, Affordable Broadband

GVTC Communications, a Texas-based telecommunications provider delivering fiber broadband, cable TV, phone and security services across San Antonio, the Hill Country and South Texas, faced growing demand as it expanded gigabit coverage. The cooperative needed an affordable, high-density aggregation solution that could scale service delivery, conserve scarce IPv4 addresses, and compete efficiently with larger providers.

GVTC deployed Juniper ACX5048 Universal Access Routers for high‑density aggregation and MX104 routers for integrated carrier‑grade NAT, all running Junos OS. The new design delivered expanded gigabit coverage (including Boerne), better aggregation efficiency, IPv4 address conservation, simpler management, lower operating costs and a fault‑tolerant network that meets customers’ high expectations.
