Global Media Technology Company Delivers High-Quality TV and Video Services with IP

NEP The Netherlands, part of the global media-technology company NEP, provides end-to-end production services for major live events and broadcasters. Facing the need to scale delivery of high-quality TV and VOD while transforming traditional SDI broadcast workflows to low-latency, cloud-based IP systems, NEP needed a solution that could handle massive amounts of uncompressed video with broadcast‑grade reliability.

NEP partnered with Juniper Networks and built an optical core and cloud production fabric using T4000 and T1600 core routers and QFX5100 switches, with PTP clocking and a redundant private CDN across three data centers. The result was the world’s first IP multi‑camera production platform, a 700 Gbps CDN that supported 750+ productions and peak viewing for millions, enabling flexible, cost‑efficient delivery of 4K, multi‑view and VR experiences.
