MercaSID, S.A., a Dominican Republic manufacturer and distributor of consumer goods, faced an aging network and an expiring support contract as employee, partner, and guest use of IP applications strained capacity and reliability. The company needed a unified, secure wired and wireless solution across its data center, campus, and branch locations that could manage guest/subcontractor bandwidth and simplify administration.

Working with partner Multicómputos, MercaSID deployed Juniper solutions—EX9208/EX4550/EX4200/EX3300/EX2200 switches, WLA532 access points, WLC800 controller, WLM1200 with RingMaster, SmartPass Connect, and Junos Space Network Director—to deliver a 40GbE data‑center core, campus Wi‑Fi, and single-pane wired/wireless management. The rollout boosted network reliability and flexibility, simplified secure onboarding of employee and guest devices, extended services to remote sites, and reduced IT maintenance and operating expenses.
