A Juniper Networks Case Study

Preview of the InterCloud Case Study

Cloud Connectivity Provider Creates an SDN-Driven Global Open Network

InterCloud S.A.S., a Paris- and Madrid-based service provider that interconnects enterprises with major public and private cloud providers across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, needed a highly scalable, resilient and open core network to meet growing customer demand and enable rapid service provisioning and automation. The company sought an SDN-ready platform that could support multivendor integration, high availability, and future automation of provisioning and planning.

InterCloud deployed Juniper MX104/ MX480/ MX960 edge routers, SRX Series gateways and ACX5048 access routers running Junos to build a programmable, multi-10GbE MPLS core and cloud peering to providers like AWS and Microsoft. The new network doubled WAN capacity and the number of POPs, expanded its secure IT service portfolio, simplified operations with a common OS, and positioned InterCloud to move toward full SDN orchestration and greater automation.
