Black Lotus, a service provider specializing in secure hosting and DDoS mitigation, faced rapid growth and a sharp increase in sophisticated attacks. The company needed to expand its data center and WAN infrastructure to scale toward terabit speeds, remain resilient under constant attack, and simplify operations to reduce total cost of ownership.

Black Lotus deployed Juniper MX960 routers and EX Series switches (EX9208 core, EX8208 aggregation, EX4200/EX3200 at the edge), building a 480 Gbps data‑center interconnect with an easy path to terabit capacity. Using Junos OS, Virtual Chassis, and reusable line cards, the provider automated operations, improved resiliency under attack, and gained the scalability and operational efficiency to protect customers even as unique DDoS attacks surged.
