Atlantech Online Delivers Secure, High-Quality VoIP Services with SRX Series Cluster

Atlantech Online, a Silver Spring–based service provider since 1995, delivers managed VoIP, high‑speed Internet, hosting, and colocation to business and public sector customers. As VoIP adoption grew, the company faced increasing security threats—especially SIP DDoS attacks—that threatened voice quality and availability, so it needed a high‑performance, secure, and operationally efficient solution to maintain its service promise.

Atlantech deployed a Juniper solution—SRX3600 services gateways in a high‑availability cluster alongside MX Series edge/core routers and EX Series switches—to protect softswitches, session border controllers, media servers, DNS, and e‑mail. The result was robust protection against attacks without degrading performance, improved visibility and troubleshooting (including on‑box packet captures), higher uptime, and the ability to scale bandwidth, subscribers, and services.
