Apollo Hotel Papendrecht Builds the Best Network for Mobility with a Simply Connected Network from Juniper Networks

Apollo Hotel Papendrecht, a four-star property in the Benelux with 87 rooms and 12 meeting spaces, needed a complete network overhaul during renovation. The hotel required hotel‑wide, secure wireless that could separate guest, apartment and staff networks, remote management to avoid on‑site IT, high uptime to support phone, room‑key and other services, unobtrusive equipment, and future readiness for A/V broadcasting and a planned 100 Mbps line.

Apollo deployed Juniper’s Simply Connected portfolio — EX Series switches in a Virtual Chassis, WLC wireless controllers (managed with RingMaster), SRX firewalls and MAG Junos Pulse gateways — to deliver redundant, centrally managed switching, secure multi‑SSID WLANs, VLAN separation and VPN access for vendors. The rollout delivered continuous uptime (no outages in 18 months), enabled room‑key, climate control, CCTV, telephony and restaurant billing over the network, prepared the hotel for A/V and higher‑speed services, and received excellent guest feedback.
