Anexia Simplifies and Scales Network with Innovative Routing Solution

Anexia is an Austria‑based IT service provider offering cloud, managed hosting and software services to over 10,000 customers across 80+ server locations. Facing an aging backbone that lacked capacity, resiliency and DDoS protection, the company needed to scale from tens to hundreds of Gbps, accelerate service creation, and automate delivery through its self‑service Anexia Engine.

Anexia rebuilt its backbone using Juniper MX480 routers, QFX5100 switches and vMX virtual routers, integrating Juniper’s APIs for automated provisioning and Zero Touch deployment. The upgrade delivered 2 Tbps of backbone capacity with redundant 100 Gbps links to major ISPs, stronger DDoS protection, and near‑instant service provisioning—enabling faster delivery and improved reliability for thousands of customers.
