Case Study: ActivePort achieves agile, on‑demand last‑mile cloud connectivity with Juniper Networks

A Juniper Networks Case Study

Preview of the ActivePort Case Study

Activeport Launches a Revolutionary Service to Drive Last-Mile Connectivity to the Cloud

ActivePort is a Perth-based startup managed services provider that set out to simplify last-mile connectivity to public and private clouds. Faced with the limitations of traditional carrier and data‑center platforms and manual configuration, the company needed a way to let customers rapidly provision and manage vendor‑neutral cloud access for services like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Office 365 and private cloud/backhaul.

Using Juniper gear—NFX250, SRX300/340/1500, vSRX and EX4300—ActivePort built an SDN- and NFV-driven service orchestration portal that automates service activation, consolidates network functions, and enforces centralized security. The result is on‑demand, self‑provisioned network services with fewer truck rolls, stronger security, and scalable pricing; one customer saw a 22% monthly cost reduction and 5× capacity increase, while ActivePort gained agility and market momentum.
