Hitch is Bermuda’s first electronic pre‑arranged taxi booking app that connects passengers directly with licensed taxi drivers 24/7, enabling account-based bookings, fare-splitting and cashless transactions. Jungleworks was engaged to build an Uber‑like platform for Hitch that would restrict sign‑ups to licensed drivers while solving key challenges: precise customer/driver location matching, live driver tracking and ETAs, integrated payments, fare estimates, easy user verification, and an inbuilt review system.

Jungleworks implemented a solution with a nearest‑driver matching algorithm, driver on/off‑duty controls, live taxi tracking and ETA display, card payment integration, ratings/reviews, and license-based driver verification. As a result, Jungleworks helped Hitch sign up 50 drivers within days of launch, enable real‑time connections across Bermuda, simplify and detail billing, and reduce cash‑related crime risk—improving convenience and driver safety.
