How an MSP Improved Consistency, Security, and User Experience for Clients Using JumpCloud

Syn Ack Fin (SAF), a Denver-based managed service provider, needed a better way to centralize identity and access management across its own environment and client environments. The company was dealing with common issues like no password database, no centralized repository or directory, inconsistent usernames, weak password controls, and the challenge of supporting a growing remote and mixed Mac, Windows, and Linux workforce. SAF partnered with JumpCloud to help extend or replace Active Directory and bring more consistency and security to client IT environments.

Using JumpCloud’s cloud directory platform, SAF implemented MFA, SSO, password policies, RADIUS, LDAP, and device/user management across internal systems and client networks. JumpCloud became a requirement for SAF’s managed services customers because it saved time, improved compliance for SOC 2 audits, reduced reliance on VPN access, eliminated shared wireless keys, and gave the team a single pane of glass for user and device information. According to SAF, JumpCloud also improved efficiency for remote work, simplified onboarding of new administrators, and helped standardize access across applications and endpoints.
